People counter support comes from the team that builds the app. The licence works without a service contract, and security updates are free for every licence. Vicodis Care is paid support for a year, with new software versions on request — included in the first year, and never renewed automatically.

The licence works without a contract
A Vicodis licence is permanent. It does not depend on Care, on a subscription or on a connection to us. If you never buy Care again, the installed version keeps counting exactly as it does today.
- Permanent. No expiry date on a purchased licence.

What Vicodis Care includes
Vicodis Care is the paid support for the people counting app: a direct line to the people who build it, plus new software versions on request. Security updates are free for everyone, with or without Care.
Support by email and phone
Questions about setup, counting lines, reports or interfaces, answered by the team in Berlin — in German or English, usually within one working day.
Help with the first setup
If needed, we help with the initial setup by remote access — camera position, counting lines and the first test walk.
No surprises
First year included, no automatic renewal
The first year of Care comes with every kit and every licence. After that, Care simply ends unless you order another year. No automatic renewal, no notice period, no invoice by surprise. The figures for further years are on prices for Vicodis.

Updates
Updates without losing data
Security updates are free for every licence: when we fix something critical, we send the new version to all customers, for at least five years from purchase; the exact end date is stated when you buy. Other new versions, with additional features or support for new AXIS OS releases, are part of Vicodis Care and supplied on request.
An update replaces the app, not your data. The database on the camera stays untouched, so counts, settings, counting lines and the licence remain in place. You upload the new package on the camera’s Apps page and reload the dashboard in the browser.
If you are setting up a new camera at the same time, installing and aiming the camera walks through mounting and line placement.

How to reach support
Write to us or call, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 (Berlin time), in German or English. Please include the camera model, the Vicodis version (shown in the dashboard) and a short description. A screenshot of the dashboard often helps. Who we are is on who builds Vicodis.

Questions about support

Does the licence stop working without Vicodis Care?
No. The licence is permanent and works with or without Care. Without Care, the installed version keeps counting exactly as before, and critical security updates still reach you free of charge; you just do not get support or new feature versions. You can order Care again later whenever you need it.

Is Vicodis Care renewed automatically?
No, never. The first year of Care is included with every kit and licence. After that year it simply ends unless you actively order another year. There is no notice period to watch and no invoice that arrives by surprise; your licence and your data are not affected either way.

Do updates delete my counts or settings?
No. An update replaces the app but leaves the database on the camera untouched, so counts, settings, counting lines and the licence all stay in place. You upload the new package on the camera’s Apps page and reload the dashboard in your browser afterwards so it shows the new version.
